ADIDAS CONTRACT AWARDED
£17 MILLION WAREHOUSE SCHEME FOR WORLD’S BIGGEST BUSINESS PARK
Tailored Fire & Security Group
are to supply, install and commission the fire alarm system in a 354,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution centre at Trafford Park, Manchester, the world’s biggest business park.
The warehouse is for investment company Key Property Investments Ltd, a subsidiary of UK regeneration specialist St Modwen Developments Ltd. Once completed, the building is to be occupied by leading high street sportswear brand Adidas.
The warehouse will contain a 173,375 sq ft high bay section (20m high to eaves) and a 160,932 sq ft low bay section (13m high to eaves). It will also include a mezzanine level, providing additional floor space of approximately 69,000 sq ft. The project includes an integrated two storey 19,956 sq ft office building, which will provide reception, staff rest areas, office administration and packing and despatch areas. The warehouse and office space will cover an area four times the size of Manchester United’s football pitch at Old Trafford.
With a striking contemporary facade, the warehouse will be constructed from a structural steel portal and will comprise mixed-material elevations of cladding, masonry and curtain walling. The company will also provide landscaping and 250 parking spaces.
